  • Lola Clavel is a Hong Kong based French Fashion and Costume designer, with international experience in Europe, Australia and Asia.
    She began her professional journey in Paris, where she was trained at the prestigious Paris Opera House for costume design, tailoring, and pattern making. She was involved in creating costumes for a variety of Opera and ballet productions. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in the art of costume design, focusing on the balance between aesthetics and functionality.
    In 2017, Lola moved to Sydney, where she continued to expand her expertise working for well known luxury bridal designers as a dressmaker. She also worked in Costumes for a wide range of productions, including well-known musicals such as Frozen and Love Never Dies. Her work also included designing for renowned singers and various theatrical performances, further broadening her experience and exposure in the industry. In 2019, she opened her studio where she started offering her own design and bespoke dresses to her clientele.

  • Since 2021, Lola has opened her design studio in Hong Kong, She has contributed to notable productions, including those by the Hong Kong Ballet, the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, the French May Festival and Chung Ying Theatre. She also curated costumes for the Love Never Dies China Tour, bringing her design expertise to the Asian audience.
    Lola's career not only spans across continents, but also multiple fields, ranging from opera, ballet, theatre, television, film and fashion. She has collaborated with art directors, choreographers, and performers, tailoring each costume to enhance the visual storytelling and character development within each project. Lola's work is characterised by her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to create costumes that are both visually striking and practical for performers.
    Lola’s fashion design work accentuates a blend of theatrical visual effects and strong cultural references, bridging the world of costumes and fashion together and creating a fusion across continents in her designs.
